For one of my favorite sections, the sights of SacAnime as a convention at large. From a con-goer's standpoint, I was totally floored that the line for registration on Saturday was so small! The whole group got in within a couple minutes and registration was a wholly smooth process. Regarding another line however [the vendors' hall line], I was utterly aghast in how many people wanted to get in an hour before it even opened! I had the chance to talk with a friend of mine in the Artist's Alley section and gave me ample warning that the line would flood the hall like a stampede. He wasn't necessarily wrong, but that was likely in part to the convention staff keeping everything nice and orderly before the waves of people showed.
Later on, I had the opportunity to check out what was outside of the convention center and as is tradition, the Greek Festival crowd was confused at best and snide at worst when looking at people in costume walk up and down the street. Gotta admit though, the staff there know how to make a mouth-watering gyro. Aside from that, I saw plenty of people slam the Uppercrust Pizza establishment (how can you say no to an all you can eat pizza buffet for $8?). Oh, an lest I forget, we finally got a Jesus protester to show up! By definition, that makes us a large-scale con and that's pretty impressive in its own right. As for the last picture of the octopus plush, alas, my one regret was not having the funds to acquire the little guy. There was a LOT there to buy at the con and if I had my way, I'd easily shell out a good couple hundred in stuff I'd want to get-- octopi however hold a special place in my heart.
