"Wecome! 'SacAnime' to our Greek Festival" as the first thing I saw on my way inside the Greek Festival (yes, that was an intentional typo... and kind of a low blow, my bad) and I've gotta say, it's pretty refreshing to see that the Greek Festival has accepted SacAnime as an event and even encourages people to stop in. Shoot, if you had a wristband or pass for SacAnime, you were granted free admission to the Greek Fest which is pretty neat, especially if one takes into consideration what the festival represents.
For those who haven't had the chance to experience the Greek Festival, it's an absolute treat. The music is fantastic and lively; dance-compelling even. The scent from the food (I love food and their gyros are bomb-diggety) is enough to get one to empty their wallet and the crafts here have a certain rustic, kitschy charm to them. It's nothing short of that sensation of the first eggnog at Christmas or like a childhood field trip where after a boring trip through the museum, you got free ice cream. It's just great and being able to get a look into Greek history while eating Greek food or trying some freshly made honey is a whole load of fun. By all means, I fully endorse the Greek Festival and would definitely encourage anyone to take a look and support the even when it rolls around. Also try the gyros and saganaki there. Absolutely worth every penny.
