And here's a glimpse into the sights and sounds... er, the sights at least of what the con floor had to offer. While there was still an opportunity Gregg and I were even able to get a look into the vendors' hall before the con kicked off! THAT VIEW. THAT OPEN SPACE. THE FREEDOM. THE AIR. S'BYOUTIFUL.
Silliness aside, it was really neat to check out a center of the con in a light never before seen by a regular con-goer and from what was gathered, a rarity among even other press members and with that line that was building up just itching to get in (towards the middle of the gallery) it's no small accomplishment to walk in and be the guys who said "WE GET TO SEE IT FIRST!" Towards the end of the gallery, I have a couple shots of another consumer-based event: the Swap Meet line. Now normally, it wouldn't be so bad, but that was a line for the SELLERS. Buyers weren't able to get in until nearly an hour past the scheduled time (I got in at 22:42 for context) and while it -was- poorly managed, it still turned out really well as a grand bazaar of fans selling to other fans.
