-Gregg Deitz Reviews Editor I was gone for the month of April and played a few things, one of which came out in April and 2 came out last year, here are quick reviews of these game. The Wolf Among Us Episode 3 ReviewThe 3rd episode was much like the first 2, great storytelling with wonderful voice work and animations. Its no longer about solving things so much know as it's about surviving situations that are tense. This episode was about Bigby being a detective in a situation that is out of his hands. He is character that doesn’t like things to be out of his control or grasp, everything is in this episode. This episode also unveils a new threat, a new villain that is truly terrifying. Bloody Mary is basically the Joker with slightly more tact. Her first monologue sent very real shivers down my spine. I am greatly anticipating the next episode so I can take her down...hopefully. If you have yet to play this series, she is a great reason to start. 9 outta 10 The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds ReviewI was fortunate enough to play this thanks to a few friends and I’m so happy I did. My favorite Legend of Zelda title is A Link to the Past so I was cautiously optimistic about this one. It plays so well that I can’t complain about it. Everything feels right about this game, the sense of both exploration but with direction, the idea of puzzle solving with a big sense of freedom. It just is the Zelda game we deserve. One of my favorite things about this was the boss battles, each boss wasn’t the “hit it till it dies” type, each boss was a puzzle in itself. My favorite boss was one where you must use your Painting-merge ability to attach to his shield and when he freaks out and can't find you, he’ll place his shield to the side, you detach and attack. My only complaint was that this game was very easy, I beat it in approximately 10 - 12 hours. This might be due to the fact I'm a seasoned Legend of Zelda player and i see around the puzzles very well. I’m not quite sure, i only died 3 times my entire playthrough and thats mainly because I was being careless. This is definitely a game you should play if you haven’t though. 9 outta 10 Mario & Luigi: Dream Team ReviewI am a huge fan of this franchise, I fell in love with it’s charm, comedy and gameplay back on the Game Boy Advance with SuperStar Saga. I have played and loved each entry, Partners in Time and Bowser’s Inside Story are so much fun due to the clever writing and fun battle system. Dream Team is no different, this time however, the battle system is a little different due to Luigi being able to open a dream portal that mario can jump into. When in the real world, the game is the exact same as the previous games. In the dream world, it turns into a 2D side scroller, the battles are similar but luigi is...powerful. He will drop a bunch of clones when mario attacks, he can will multiply himself to make attacks more powerful, an assortment of things. This is also where my one and only complaint comes from with this game. 5 separate times, a boss will grow to an enormous size inside the dream world. This requires Luigi to grow as well, however, you need to turn the 3DS sideways and use either motion controls or use the touch screen for timed taps. It barely works and is very frustrating, and because of the location of the cartridge, if you hold the 3DS wrong for comfort, you can end up disconnecting the game. Granted this only happens 5 times in a 45 hour long game. This is the best game I played during the month of April and I very highly recommend playing this one even if you haven’t played the others. 9.5 outta 10
