Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners

Nate here. If you have been keeping up to date with the recent anime that has been coming out. Then you have already finished Kara no Kyoukai 7, the final movie of it's series. It was one hell of a dramatic finale (although for a mini-spoiler, making everything end in a pot farm is kinda lulzworthy...) Anyways, review time.
Kara no Kyoukai aka The Garden of Sinners, is somewhat a spinoff the another anime and visual novel series called Tsukihime and Fate Stay Night. More closer to Tsukihime as if you have played the game, you hear about the main and a supporting character's last name within the routes of the game. (Ryougi, Shiki and Asagami, Fujino.) Most of the characters resemble someone from either Tsukihime or Fate.

The Main Characters:
Ryougi, Shiki, the heroine of the series, has muliple personalization traits some what close to Tohno, Shiki's only her SHIKI lives within her and rumored to be a 3rd trait (not in the movie, mostly fan-based so fuck that. It's just 2.)

Kouktou, Mikiya - The hero, somewut (somewut resembles Tohno, Shiki in appearance,) The detective in the series, had a close deathly encounter with Ryougi which ironically, led to their friendship, LOL. Somewhat a wimp, but kinda has more determination to do stuff than Ryougi. Likes her, obviously. (Vice versa.)

Aozaki, Touko - The brain helping them out. She's Kouktou's boss at work. And is also a mage. Helping out Kouktou and Ryougi on murder cases whenever they need help and sometimes getting them out of trouble.

On a sidesnote, is also Aozaki, Aoko's sister from Tsukihime not hesitant to kill Aoko for stealing her glasses that Aoko gave to Tohno, Shiki. She and Aoko will be in an upcoming visual novel called "Mahoutsukai no Yoru" planned to be released in 2010.

Some noted supporting characters:

Kouktou, Azaka - (one of my favorite characters in here just because of her voice actor,) has a resemblance to Tsukihime's Tohno Akiha due to her heat magic. Which means she's a mage. She's Touko's apprentice. Although Akiha's magic is to induce heat, Azaka's ability is inducing ignitions. She loves her bro, and I mean "love." but she can't get to him due to his work and Ryougi. And always throws a hilarious cute tantrum about it. The 6th movie is all about her.

Asagami, Fujino - Azaka's friend at mage school. But just like Ryougi, she has a family history of killers among her past, so she likes to kill (as read in tsukihime.) Unlike Ryougi, killing gives her peace in a corrupt kind of way.

Araya, Souren - Looks really close to Kotomine, Kirei (Fate Stay Night.) He is, too, a mage. A powerful one. And just like a reality marble, his weapon is "bounded fields." Kinda hard to describe but if you know what a reality marble is, you get it. He was friends with Touko when they were studying about magus. He is one of the enemies in the series.

Enjou, Tomoe - Looks just like Emiya Shirou (Fate Stay Night,) a person who killed his parents and was found by Ryougi Shiki, picked up off the street by her, and many other things (spoilers beyond that, one resembling Emiya.)

Shirasumi, Lio - Kouktou's sempai (older classmate.) Quit school, and found things he thought were more rewarding...although things didn't really go his way.

The story's mainly focus on murder cases and past times of Ryougi Shiki. (Or whoever the main focus is on for that specific movie) If you're an action genre fanactic, don't expect action all the time, this is more of a mystery/drama-base. Action only comes at the climax of the movie (most of the time.)

Movie 1 - The eye catcher movie. A lot of girls have been committing suicide recently and a certain building. After connecting the dots on the suicides plus a girl falling into a coma, will there be enough time to save the next 8 girls?

Movie 2 - The movie of the past where Kouktou and Ryougi first met.

Movie 3 - After finding a group of corpses' limbs gruesomely mangled, Touko asks Shiki for help to investigate the main suspect, Asagami Fujino. A girl who basically their whore that day they died. Kouktou investigates something else as well.

Movie 4 - The movie where Shiki is in a coma.

Movie 5 - Enjou, Tomoe, some boy off the streets, is taken in by Shiki.

Movie 6 - Kouktou, Azaka, Mikiya's little sis, is the main focus of the movie, although Shiki is sent by Touko to help out Azaka, Azaka refuses due to personal matters...

Movie 7 - Finale. The continuation of where movie 2 left off.

It's kinda hard to not spoil anything, so just watch the damn series. I give it a 10/10!!!! >xD
