Infinity Blade

Infinity Blade, for the iOS, came out quite a while back, but the recent update included Multiplayer as well as Survival mode and many more blades and such. While I haven't been able to get any new weapons at the moment, the one thing I've been hooked on is Survival mode. Survival is simple. You're given money (2-3k) each battle won, and with that money you buy upgrades to your equipment: helmet, sword, shield and armor. These give you better stats to ensure your victory. Infinity Blade has a certain replayability to it. I've played it many times through, dying at the boss, but each time it gets harder and harder. While this challenge is alright, it seems to become overwhelming if you don't collect your money. It starts getting tedious and monotonous. Implementing Multiplayer as well as Survival seems to stretch this replayability and create new heights and challenges. I've only gotten to 13 on survival, (I feel so ashamed), but I'm determined to get further. If they start adding leaderboards and access to Multiplayer arena, I think I'll be hooked on this for a very long time. For now, with what I have, it's a little boring, tedious and hard. But, it's also gorgeous. It's amazing how intense these graphics are for the iOS. However, graphics aren't everything. The one major downside of this game is its obvious size. This isn't a small package by a long shot. Free up about 1 1/2 gigs and you're fine. This might be dandy on a 32 gig, but for 8 giggers like myself, this was painful. Deleting apps and music just to get through. However, I digress. This game is excellent and is the Mike Tyson's Punch Out of this decade. I'd recommend it, but also be wary of its replay value.
3.5/5
