Happy Friday the 13th, people. here's my first review on A.V.A Online. Llast podcast, I wasn't able to thoroughly explain why Alliance of Valiant Arms (aka A.V.A. Online) was currently the most popular MMOFPS. Here's a more in-depth look.
If you're a CoD fan and a veteran CounterStike player, this game would possibly be your next transition if you're an MMO player. A.V.A Online has some of the best developed maps (some are in the making I heard) as well as some crazy rag doll physics in the game. (Head-shot someone with a sniper bullet or a grenade explosion and the whole body flies.) There are some good places to hide, though it won't be good to hide into them after people remember those spots, so moving around is the best bet. There are 3 "classes" from which you can alternate during the game if you press F1, F2, or F3; The "Pointman," who uses, SMG-type guns (specializes in "point-blank" shots,) the "Rifleman," (specializes in assault rifles,) and the "Sniper...name speaks for itself... A.V.A. Online has some of the best graphics I've seen compared to some of the older MMOFPS games I've played, I'm surprised that it's even free. And this thing uses the Unreal 3 Engine, so it's not bad for a try. Though it's currently the most popular MMOFPS, it probably won't be on par with "Huxley: The Distopia" but that's for another day. =) You can find Alliance of Valiant Arms at http://ava.ijji.com -Nate
