Finally, a modern-day racing game for a the PC, Mario-Kart style! Here's what I thought of Blur...
First of all, Blur, a racing game. Using modern-day cars, you race down familiar places like near the golden gate bridge, at crazy speeds. The unique thing about Blur is that they call it "High-Powered Racing." meaning you get to use power ups and mods to trash your opponents cars while racing. And the effects or totaling the opponents cars, and yours, is pretty nice. (Though you wouldn't want to do it intentionally...)
The basic object of the game is this; get 1-3rd place in races to earn "lights" and earn rankings, which are kinda of like exp points, to earn newer cars, meet your rivals' requests to meet them in a one-on-one race to beat them and win their car and mod and so forth. It seems simple, but it's a lot of fun if you like racing. There's also mini-requests and race lvls like checkpoint races and stuff, so there's more to what I'm talking about. Overall I like it. If you're a racing game fan, I'd give Blur a 4.7 out of 5. If your not so much a racing fan probably just a 4 because there's a lot of drifting involved.
