Xbox One Is An Xbox Dud

Microsoft just recently unveiled their next generation console and lengthy awaited successor know as Xbox One. And with the debut of the new system also came detailed information of its particular features and unfortunately these features are just the things that gamers have been dreading of for months. In fact these features are so incredibly bad not only have many gamers rejected the system but also many memes bashing the system arrived and Microsoft stocks fell while their competitors rose. With all this negativity surrounding the new system and not to mention the embarrassing plummeting stocks what kind of features could create such disdain for this system after only being just announced.

The first is no backwards compatibility which is more in the area of lacking features that we wanted then features that completely screw us. Most of us know the problems that come with next generation consoles not being able to play games for some of their prevalent predecessors. And for those that do not here is the general lay down any games that you have saved from past iterations of the Xbox are almost useless that is unless you manage to save some room to keep its precursors hooked up which can be annoying for some. And also just let me add for an object that is being marketed as having all in one which is why it is called the Xbox One for Christ sake then being able to play games from its past systems would be something we would hope to have.

The second is that any games you have download off the marketplace will not be carried over to the new system which is nonsense. Although in fairness Sony is also doing this with their new system so Microsoft is not just the only ones also doing this crap. For all of you out there who have disbursed loads of dollars for digital content considered yourself screwed. Although hopefully this is just some something temporary and will be remedied sometime in the future.

Now the first big kick in the nuts is that the console will have to be connected to the internet once every 24 hours. And of course for those who do not you will not be able to play games but you will be able to watch movie because this is why we buy game consoles. So if you live in an area where internet connection is hard or some cases impossible too bad for you and deal with it. (That one was just for you Adam Orth!)

Of course the biggest kick in the nuts is if you want to play used games you will have to pay an additional fee. For further explanation here is how it works games will require installation to the hard drive and then the disk will be personally locked to your online profile for your use only and if someone else wants to play it on their own profile an expense is required. This is no good reason to have this it does not benefit gamers in any way all it is about is companies finding ways to get rid of the used game market and companies creating ways to make more money.

So with the nonsense like used game fees and required internet connected it is no wonder why people are hating on the Xbox One. This game console is an incredible grave threat to the foreseeable future of gaming and gamers and it needs to be stopped for sure. If gamers come together through boycotting and protesting hopefully Microsoft will then get the message across.
