Private Photo Shoot at Anime Expo 2014 - UPDATED

Hello, again.

It has been longer than I would like since we proposed this idea, but the great news is that after negotiating with the location, we have come to an agreement and the project is moving forward!  We have had some early sign-ups and another photographer has shown interest in joining!

We were originally going to schedule from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, but suddenly Anime Expo announced their Kill la Kill special event starting at 3:00 p.m. that day, and we were a bit stuck.  We are going to reschedule the shoot to FRIDAY, JULY 4, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Casey's Irish Pub.

Have you ever wanted to have a photo shoot in an unusual place?  Have you thought about what your cosplay or character would look like in a bar while drinking it up with friends or other characters? Mission Start Podcast is partnering up with Cosplay World and preparing a special project and photo shoot for Anime Expo 2014!

We have rented the back room Casey’s Irish Pub, which was used in an episode of SyFy’s Fangasm, just a couple of blocks from the Westin Bonaventure.  I sat in this room and immediately pictured the cast of Cowboy Bebop sitting around drinking and playing cards.  We are looking for individuals and groups who want a unique picture and souvenir.  Priority will be given to groups.

We are also looking for one or two photographers interested in taking pictures.

In studying similar services for cosplay shoots, an hour of time in a studio or location would be $70 per person.  For our photo shoot, we are asking a mere $25 for an hour of time to help cover the rental costs of the room.  That’s it!  If enough people take part, we can see about getting some food during the event, as well.  Keep in mind that this time will be shared with other cosplayers.

Props will be welcome.

For an additional $3.00, you will also receive a CD with the raw pictures taken during the entirety of the shoot.

We are still working on determining the day and time of this project, as we will be trying to avoid the larger cosplay groups and events.  

Additionally, this will be a private event.  If you take part, please do not bring guests as we want to prevent crowding.  We also ask that if you are of the legal age to drink you do so minimally.
