Hello all! I'm one of the newest recruits to join the team of Mission Start and let me tell ya, writing for a site like this is a dream come true. So I'll tell you guys a little about myself.
My name's Kristoffer Sturm (I also go by Kaz), I'm 19 years old and was born to live the life of a gamer. I've been one since the age of three, starting out at the very beginning with naught but an NES, the NES Blaster and a copy of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. As I grew, I knew that a hook had drawn me into the lucrative art of video gaming and much like myself, I've seen the art as a whole evolving and maturing alongside me. As time has progressed, I've opened myself to all platforms, all genres and have grown to appreciate games for what they are, rather than just as entertainment.
I also have quite the deep appreciation for an oft popular art, the anime and manga industry. Over the years, I've amassed quite the collection in both and have quite the appreciation for older, simpler pieces yet still deeply enjoy how artists this day and age try to be on par, if not succeed their superiors. There's quite the intricate story that can be said about any piece that goes into mainstream or underground media but even more amazing would have to be the fanfiction that comes from those arts. The potential that can be seen from this industry, much like the video game industry is literally endless; and I'm here to try and cover everything past, present and shall continue through the future.
I live in California, my home state that I love like no other and spend my days prepping for various cons such as Sacanime, Fanime and WonderCon and going to college to work towards degrees in Psychology, English and recently, towards some teaching credentials. The idea of being a reviewer and columnist for this site can open up several doorways to success down the road and I just wanna see where this crazy train will take me.
I look forward to being a valuable asset to the team and to you, the readers, to provide quality news, reviews and say what's hot, what's not and what's worth spending your time on. I consider myself to be quite the broad-minded writer, but if you dislike a review, please, understand that it is merely the opinion of one man and that opinions can't always be the same as yours; you can either take them like you're carrying a bag of gold (or a bag of dirt if situation calls for it) or with a grain of salt. I just want to do what I love and express what I think about it in the most honest way possible.
