こんにちは everyone this time the Japanese snacks or beverages(as they are this time) I enjoy and sharing today are Melon soda and a beer.

Melon Soda

Picture
Sangaria Melon Soda: This is a brand from the Sangaria company, also known by its full name Japan Sangaria Beverage Co. Ltd. That is headquartered in Higashisumiyoshi-ku one of the 24 wards of Osaka.

Don't worry they do have a US branch based in the states.

Sangaria's name is actually based of a Japanese translation of a phrase from the Chinese poem Spring View.  As it reads in Japanese:国破れて山河在り, Kuni yaburete sanga ari, "but the mountain and rivers still exist." Also the company slogan ichi, ni, sanagaria is a play on ichi, ni, san (1,2,3 in Japanese).

Now more about the product. When i first saw in several anime that Melon soda was a type of soda I slowly became was very curious and wanted to try it. The one day when I was in a local Asian store(the same place where I get ramune) I saw that they sold a brand of Melon soda. So I brought it and tried it along with a Strawberry one. And they were both very good the strawberry was one was really sweet.

So if you get the chance give it a try or try the strawberry one if your not sure about the melon soda yet.
Yes that is part of the Wii remote controller in the picture. Which reminds me I have to get ready for more Smash Bros wars with my friends this Friday.

Sapporo

Yes I enjoy beer, but not just any kind of beer and that is a topic for another day. However there are brands of beer I do enjoy and some of the ones I have had from Japanese companies have been decent so far.

Which brings us to the brand in today's spotlight: Sapporo Premium(sorry I should have cleaned up the picture).

Sapporo premium beer(or Draft) is a brand made by Sapporo Breweries Limited, based in Sapporo, Japan. The company is among one of the oldest in Japan being founded in 1876 by Seibei Nakagawa.

Sapporo Premium is consider to be a lager, which in general I'm not a fan of, unless its one of the darker varieties. So when I tried Sapporo for the first time I was surprised. On a scale of 1-5 I would give it a 3.5. There are other types of beer I like and enjoy a lot more. However Sapporo premium has become one of the brands of beer that when I' am at the store and have just enough left over to spare for a pint, if I see it I don't mind buying it.

One day soon I would like to try Sake bomb combination with it.

Until next time folks. See ya later.
