By the time you read this either today or tomorrow, the Fight for Youth stream tournament will be showcasing top players playing in some competitive fighting games to help raise money for a charity event for kids.  Fight for Youth was recently started by Daniel "Clockw0rk" Maniago. He is a professional gamer and also a elementary school teacher. He is making this tournament to help out kids grow with the curiously and ambitions he had when he was growing up. Its a Charity event hes been putting together and its happening this weekend in Norwok at the Arturo Sanchez elementary school in southern California. In recent news in the fighting game community, there has been a lot of drama of what the fighting game community is really is. At the moment people outside of the scene view the fighting game community in not a very good light right now. Websites like Kotaku has written several stories recently that makes the fighting game community to the average person or gamer to be this thug life wannabes. Well, Clockwork plans to change peoples opinion about the fighting game community by showing what players in the community know how to do best. Play in big tournaments and bringing the hype with them, but this time not for personal gain. This time the fighting game community will give back and raise money for ASES Prep, which is the afterschool program that operates in 12 schools in the Norwalk/La Mirada School District. The money will also be used to rent charter buses that allow the kids to take field trips to locations farther than the immediate vicinity of Norwalk.
If you want to watch the event, it will be up on stream at twitch.tv/offcast at 11 am PST and if you wish to help out if your not in the area to go to the event, you can donate to cause at this website. The games that be playing at the tournament will be:

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Street Fighter X Tekken

I be watching for sure and supporting this event as much as I can.
