Hey everyone! Kaz here with another convention hub page! This time around, Crocker Con, 2014! Now for those not familiar with the Sacramento area, there's a great little museum by the name of the Crocker Art Museum, home to several pieces of American art as well as a few other varied multicultural pieces. As of last year, the museum became the home of a small-time convention. One could likely make a statement regarding their decision as an acknowledgement that comics, cosplay and everything in between is an art form in itself. Either way, the atmosphere of the event is definitely on the lighthearted end of things complete with a mini bar, vendor alley and nerdcore music to boot!
All in all, it was a lot of fun, even though it only lasted for four hours. I'm also pretty glad I had a chance to meet up with Steve the Pirate for a bit, as well as set up a little photo shoot for a few friends of mine. And lest I forget, anyone who goes to Crocker Con is also allowed to roam around the museum's floors, albeit with a couple areas blocked off by security. All in all, it was a fun experience where anyone 21+ would get the full experience, though it was an event that could be enjoyed by attendees of all ages. I'd wholeheartedly encourage everyone to stop by and check it out when it rolls around next year!
